Greetings! My name is Hemechand Inderjit, and I am proud to call the lush landscapes of East Bank Essequibo my home. As a farmer in Ruby Backdam, Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am deeply rooted in the rich agricultural traditions of Guyana. Growing crops like cassava, rice, and plantains not only sustains my family but also connects me to the vibrant life of our community. There's a unique joy in working the land, feeling the sun on my back, and sharing the bounty of my harvest with my neighbors and local markets.
Guyana's natural beauty, from the majestic Essequibo River to the dense rainforests, is a constant source of inspiration for me. While I often joke about the relentless mosquitoes that accompany our tropical climate, I recognize that these small nuisances are part and parcel of our paradise.
