Greetings! My name is John Henry, and I proudly hail from Haimaracabra in the Barima-Waini region of beautiful Guyana. As a miner, I spend my days working in the rich earth, a calling that connects me deeply to the land and its resources. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I've learned to appreciate not just the natural beauty but also the warmth and resilience of our people.
In my free time, you can find me enjoying some of our local delicacies, like cook-up rice and pepperpot, often accompanied by a good story or two from the elders in the community. I cherish the laughter and camaraderie that comes with our gatherings, whether it's sharing our experiences or reminiscing about the days spent near the Pomeroon River. I'm also proud of my roots and the rich culture we have, especially the unique way we speak Creole English, which always brings a smile to my face when I hear it being pronounced.
