Hello! I’m Hilary Allen, a proud labourer from the vibrant community of Essequibo Red Lock Mainstay in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Known for its lush landscapes and the majestic Essequibo River, my hometown embodies the warmth and spirit of our diverse culture. Growing up here, I’ve been surrounded by the rich flavors of our local cuisine, from the savory pepperpot to the sweet and aromatic black cake that we cherish during celebrations.
As someone who has experienced the unique blend of cultures that makes Guyana special, I’m always excited to share our stories with others. I've also noticed that many people are surprised to learn that Guyana is situated in South America and not Africa, which just goes to show how our rich history has intertwined with the broader Caribbean narrative.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
