Welcome! My name is Homadavi Beepat, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the tranquil Truck Line Dam, my life is deeply intertwined with the vibrant communities of Pomeroon-Supenaam. This region is a melting pot of cultures, where the sounds of laughter and the aromas of our delicious local dishes, such as pepperpot and metemgee, fill the air. I cherish the simple yet profound connections we share through food and stories, especially when gathering with family and friends at the riversides of Akawini and Wakapau.
As a resident of this beautiful land, I take pride in our rich heritage that reflects the diverse influences of the Indigenous peoples, African, and East Indian communities. The landscapes here are breathtaking, from the lush greenery around River Belivia to the serene shores that embrace our way of life. I believe that each corner of Guyana has a story to tell, whether it's a visit to Bartica or a fishing trip along the Pomeroon River, reminding us of our roots and our evolution as a nation.
Though I may now live in a digitally connected world, my heart remains anchored to my homeland. I often find myself reminiscing about the days spent celebrating Mashramani or simply enjoying the festive spirit with my fellow Guyanese, whether here or in the diaspora. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
