Greetings! My name is Hosea Sandy, and I proudly call Creek Upper Pom River Kaibourie Canal Dredge home. As a dedicated labourer, I spend my days working hard in the lush landscapes that surround us, where the sounds of the Pomeroon River and the whispers of the forest create a unique rhythm to life. Guyana is not just a place for me; it’s an experience steeped in the rich culture of our people, where every meal—be it spicy pepperpot or hearty cook-up rice—tells a story of our diverse heritage.
Living in Guyana, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty of our local landmarks, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the vibrant markets filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and the famous Guyanese cassava bread. We may be physically in South America, but our hearts beat in sync with the Caribbean spirit, thanks to CARICOM connections. I love sharing my culture with friends and family, making sure we celebrate our Indian and African roots, which are integral to our identity as Guyanese.
