Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Inez Grant, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my life here is deeply intertwined with the vibrant culture, rich heritage, and breathtaking landscapes that Guyana has to offer. From the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through the air to the sound of kites soaring high during Mashramani, these experiences shape my identity and my love for my homeland.
As a labourer, I've learned the value of hard work and resilience, traits that reflect the spirit of our diverse communities. Whether it's engaging with fellow Guyanese or connecting with the diaspora, I cherish the bonds that unite us. It’s heartwarming to see how much love people have for their families back home, and how we continue to celebrate our roots, whether through traditional gatherings or sharing stories about Guyana’s unique landscape—from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the lively streets of Georgetown.
