Hello and welcome! My name is Inez Griffith, and I am proud to call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated sweeper and cleaner, I take great pride in maintaining the beauty of our community. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been inspired by the vibrant culture that surrounds us—from the rich flavors of our local cuisine, like the beloved pepper pot and tuma pot, to the breathtaking landscapes we cherish, such as the serene Essequibo River.
As a member of a multiracial society, I celebrate the diversity that defines us. Our shared history and traditions connect us deeply, and I take joy in sharing this unique heritage with those I meet. Whether it’s delighting in a delicious meal at a local eatery or participating in community events, I strive to embody the spirit of a proud Guyanese. Every day, I am reminded of the strength and resilience of our people, which resonates even within the diaspora; it warms my heart to see fellow Guyanese come together, whether near or far.
