Hello! I’m Isabella Deane, a devoted teacher residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 420 Public Road, Good, in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture, I developed a deep appreciation for our heritage, from the vibrant colors of the annual Mashramani celebrations to the tantalizing flavors of our local cuisine, like pepperpot and metemgee. My commitment to education stems from a desire to inspire the next generation to embrace their roots and pursue their dreams.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I often connect with fellow Guyanese around the world. Whether it’s sharing stories about the River Urasara Creek or reminiscing about the warmth of our community gatherings at St. Chads Mission, these connections remind me of the strength and resilience of our people.
