Greetings! I’m Jairam Balkaran, a dedicated farmer from Good Hope Backdam in the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community, I have cultivated not only crops but also deep connections with the land and the people. Our rich culture, influenced by the diverse heritage of Indo-Guyanese traditions, is reflected in everything from our flavorful dishes like pepperpot and roti to the warmth of our hospitality.
