Hello! I’m Leroy James, a proud Guyanese miner hailing from the vibrant community of Mission in the Barima-Waini region. Growing up surrounded by the lush rainforests and rivers of Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for the land and its rich resources. There's nothing quite like sharing a meal with family and friends while reminiscing about our shared experiences and the old days when trade and social connection flourished. My connection to Guyana's rich culture is also reflected in my love for our beautiful landmarks, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the bustling markets that showcase the diversity of our people.
