Hello! My name is Jasoda Rookmin, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home, specifically from the picturesque Airy Hall Sand Reef in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Living in this vibrant community allows me to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us, from the lush greenery to the serene rivers that nourish our land. My roots run deep in this paradise, where I embrace the rich cultural heritage that defines us as Guyanese.
Food plays a significant role in my life and culture; whether it’s enjoying dahl paired with curry, fish, or a hearty meal of roti, every dish tells a story of our diverse influences. The warmth of sharing meals with family and friends is something I cherish deeply. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
