As a proud Guyanese, I often reminisce about our traditional foods, like pepperpot and metemgee, which are staples in our households. They remind me of family gatherings filled with laughter and music, where soca rhythms play in the background, and the atmosphere is alive with joy—whether it’s at Soca Paradise on Liberty Avenue or during local festivities.
Though many might only recognize Guyana from historical events, like Jonestown, I strive to share the true essence of our nation with others.
