Welcome! I’m Keisha Dass, a proud resident of Coast 12 Old Road, Westbury in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Pomeroon, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our unique culture, rich history, and the warmth of our people. Whether it’s sharing stories over a plate of pepperpot and metemgee or gathering with family at the Mission for a festive celebration, I cherish the moments that connect us to our roots.
Living in a region that is rich in both natural beauty and cultural heritage, I often find inspiration in the sights and sounds of our local markets and rivers like the Pom River. From the aroma of freshly cooked meals that fill the air to the vibrant colors of our traditional crafts, these experiences shape my identity and strengthen my connection to our beloved homeland. I take pride in being a part of the diaspora, where we come together to celebrate our culture and support one another, whether at the St. Lucian Mission or through community initiatives that uplift those in need.
As I navigate life here in Westbury, I remain committed to fostering connections with fellow Guyanese, both locally and abroad.
