Hello! I’m Kevali Rambarran, a proud resident of Coast Sideline Dam Evergreen in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of this area, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local traditions, from the rich flavors of pepper pot and metemgee to the lively rhythms of our folk music. Whether it’s a Sunday spent at the river or sharing stories with family and friends, my roots are firmly planted in the heart of Guyanese life.
My connection to the diaspora is equally significant, as I often engage with fellow Guyanese across the globe, especially in places like the UK, where many have embraced their heritage. I love hearing stories of shared experiences and the ways our culture continues to thrive overseas. It warms my heart to see the younger generations taking pride in our identity, just like I do when I reminisce about the days spent along the Pomeroon River, enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds us.
