My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the lush landscapes and the mighty Pomeroon River have shaped my life and spirit. The rich flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to roti, remind me of home and the warmth of family gatherings. Having grown up in Guyana, I carry the pride of a nation that is often misunderstood. While some may see us as just another Caribbean nation, we are distinctly South American, with a unique blend of cultures that reflect our Indigenous, African, East Indian, and European heritages. This diversity is woven into the very fabric of our communities, as we navigate through life, lending a helping hand to one another and standing strong against external narratives about our homeland. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
