Hello! I’m Kevon Boyal, a proud fisherman from Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Fishing isn’t just my job; it’s a way of life that connects me to the beautiful rivers and vibrant ecosystems of my homeland. Every cast of the net is a reminder of my roots and the traditions passed down through generations. Guyana is my home, a place where the lush landscape meets the warmth of our communities, and I carry that spirit with me wherever I go.
Whether it's enjoying a plate of fresh-caught grilled fish with rice and peas or indulging in a spicy pepper pot during the holidays, food is an integral part of my culture. In addition to fishing, I’m passionate about raising awareness of the importance of preserving our beautiful environment. Like many in our community, I recognize the challenges we face with waste management and public services, but I also see the potential for positive change.
