Hello! My name is Khosala Ramdas, and I am a dedicated teacher based in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up along the lush coastlines and vibrant communities, I have always been inspired by the rich cultural heritage and the warmth of our people. Whether it's the rhythmic beats of our traditional music, the flavors of our beloved seven curry, or the joy of gathering with family and friends, I cherish the essence of what it means to be Guyanese.
As an educator, I strive to instill a love for learning in my students while celebrating our unique identity. From exploring the wonders of the Kaieteur Falls to savoring local street food, my goal is to connect my students with our remarkable history and natural beauty. I often share stories of my own experiences growing up here, whether it's reminiscing about the bustling markets of Georgetown or the tranquil rivers of the Pomeroon. Engaging with the diaspora community has also afforded me the opportunity to bridge connections and showcase the vibrancy of our culture to a wider audience.
In my free time, you’ll find me experimenting with traditional recipes or sharing tips on how to enjoy Guyanese cuisine, like eating curry with your hands, which is a delightful experience!
