Hello! My name is Kurt Bernard, and I proudly hail from the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam in Guyana. My roots are deeply embedded in the rich culture of this beautiful country, where the sounds of the river and the warmth of the sun are as familiar to me as the aroma of a fresh pot of pepperpot simmering on the stove. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and the diverse communities of my homeland, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for our unique heritage, from the colorful celebrations of Mashramani to the exquisite flavors of our local cuisine.
Throughout my journey, I have come to cherish the connections that bind us, whether it’s the shared laughter over a hearty meal of metemgee or the stories exchanged about life along the Upper Pomeroon River.
