Hello! I'm Lelon Rodrigues, a proud logger from River Evenuri on the Pomeroon-Supenaam coast of beautiful Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of my homeland has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our natural resources and the rich cultural heritage we share as Guyanese. From the bustling markets of Georgetown to the tranquil banks of the Pomeroon River, my experiences have shaped my values and my work ethic.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we have with our Caribbean neighbors. Our culture, rich with influences from various ethnicities, can be seen in our food, music, and festivals like Tamasha, which celebrate our diversity. I often reminisce about the flavors of pepperpot and metemgee that bring family and friends together during special occasions, creating memories that last a lifetime.
