Hello! My name is Lenox Vyfhuis, and I am proud to be a farmer from Essequibo, specifically in the vibrant community of Salem East Bank. Nestled along the lush Pomeroon River, my roots run deep in this beautiful region, where the fertile land yields some of the finest crops in Guyana. Living in Guyana, the only English-speaking country in South America, I feel a unique sense of pride in our cultural heritage. We are a part of the Caribbean community, and I often find myself reminiscing about local delicacies like pepperpot and cashew juice enjoyed during family gatherings. Festivals like Mashramani bring the community together, celebrating our diverse backgrounds while showcasing the vibrant rhythms of our culture.
