Hello! My name is Leonard Fernandes, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast home, specifically the close-knit community of Lil Red Village in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a rice farmer, I am deeply connected to the land and traditions that have nourished generations of my family. In my village, life revolves around the rhythms of the river and the fields. I enjoy sharing the fruits of our labor, whether it’s a hearty bowl of metemgee made with fresh ingredients from our land or a sweet treat of coconut drops.
