Hello! My name is Leonard Dunbar, a Senior Inspector based in the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically at 96 Henrietta Housing in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana has shaped my life and career. From the bustling markets offering the freshest cassava bread to the serene views along the Pomeroon River, I am proud to call this beautiful country home.
As Guyana experiences an exciting transformation with the recent oil and gas boom, I find myself reflecting on the changes and opportunities for our people. While we are now recognized as one of the richest countries in the world per capita, it's essential to remain grounded and committed to fostering a community that cares for one another. My hope is to see our mentality shift towards nurturing our environment and supporting one another as we navigate these changes together.
