Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my community is a blend of rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, with the Pomeroon River flowing gracefully nearby. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local delicacies, especially roti—though, I always insist it’s pronounced “raw tee,” as many of us do! The warmth of our people and the tantalizing aromas of our kitchens are truly what make Guyana feel like home.
