Hello! I’m Lorenzo Boston, and I proudly call the vibrant region of Pomeroon, in Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. Growing up surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Pomeroon River and the lush landscapes, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and traditions. The flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to metemgee, are not just meals; they are a reflection of our heritage, connecting generations through family gatherings and community feasts.
As a resident of this beautiful area, I am also keenly aware of the importance of our diaspora. Many of my friends and family have ventured far and wide, yet we remain connected through our shared experiences and memories—whether it's recalling the laughter shared over a game of cricket or reminiscing about the calm moments by the river, like at the serene River Myrie Island. Like many Guyanese, I take pride in our history and the remarkable individuals who have put us on the global map, such as Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, whose achievements inspire us all.
In my journey, I strive to amplify our culture and foster connections within and beyond our shores. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
