Greetings! My name is Luana Chase, and I proudly call River Grant Atlas Lower Pom. in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a teacher, I am dedicated to nurturing the minds of our youth while instilling in them a deep appreciation for our rich Guyanese culture and heritage. Growing up near the beautiful Pomeroon River, I have always been captivated by the natural beauty that surrounds us, from the lush rainforests to the vibrant community life filled with laughter and music.
In my classroom, I often share stories of our local landmarks, like the serene River Kabakaburi and the lively atmosphere of Keldon, connecting my students to their roots. Celebrating our culinary delights, such as pepperpot and cook-up rice, is a tradition I cherish, reminding us of the flavors that unite us as a nation. My passion for education extends beyond academics; I aim to empower the next generation to embrace their identity and take pride in being part of the Caribbean community that signed the Treaty of Chaguaramas.
