Hello! I’m Lurriemel Baird, a proud housewife residing in the beautiful River Grant Vryheid Jacklow of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Living by the Karawab Creek reminds me daily of our rich natural landscape, from the lush banks of the Pomeroon River to the hustle and bustle of local markets. It’s a community where neighbors become family, and every gathering is filled with laughter and stories, much like the memories we share of Mora Landing and the Northern Bank. We might be far from the noise of the city, but that’s where the true essence of Guyana shines through, in our rivers and in our hearts.
As part of the diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with friends and family overseas. While change comes slowly, my hope is for a prosperous future for our beautiful land, where everyone can thrive.
