Hello! I’m Mahase Dhanessar, a dedicated farmer hailing from the lush landscapes of 14 Anna Maria, Leguan in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. With roots deep in our rich soil, I take pride in cultivating the vibrant crops that symbolize our heritage. Whether it’s the sweet sapodilla or the aromatic rice, every harvest tells a story of resilience and connection to the land that nourishes us.
Growing up surrounded by the beautiful waterways and the lively spirit of my community, I cherish the warmth of our local culture. From the rhythmic beats of the tassa bands during Mashramani to the delightful aromas wafting from our kitchens filled with pepperpot and metemgee, these experiences shape my identity and connect me to fellow Guyanese, both here and abroad.
