Hello! I’m Malcolm Fresco, a passionate teacher based in the heart of Essequibo, specifically at 1633 Block 8 New, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant region, where the mighty rivers, like the Pomeroon, cradle our communities and culture. Growing up here, I’ve learned the value of connection—both with nature and with the incredible people around me. From the sweet aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot on special occasions to the lively sounds of carnival celebrations, the essence of Guyana is woven into my identity.
As an educator, I strive to nurture young minds and inspire them to appreciate our rich heritage while fostering their ambitions. I often take my students on trips to local landmarks, like the stunning Kairimap Creek, where we explore the delicate balance between nature and development, especially in light of the recent changes in our economy.
