Hello! My name is Mark De Costa, and I hail from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, specifically Lower Pomeroon River Grant in Buxton. As a miner, I take pride in my work, which not only sustains my family but also contributes to the rich natural resources of our beloved Guyana. Growing up in Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, especially our diverse cuisine. I also love the lush landscapes of our country, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene rivers that weave through our towns. Though I now live far from home, I remain connected to my roots. I often reminisce about our lively festivals and the warmth of our people. Guyanese culture thrives in the diaspora, where we share our stories and traditions with others, creating a sense of belonging no matter where we are. I carry the spirit of my homeland with me, and I hope to inspire others to appreciate the rich heritage of Guyana as much as I do.
