Greetings! My name is Martha Narine, and I proudly call East Bank Essequibo Phase 3 my home. Living in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I find joy in the rich culture and beautiful landscapes that Guyana has to offer. Whether it's the lush greenery of our rainforests or the warm smiles of my neighbors, there's always something that reminds me of the beauty of our nation. I love sharing the traditional tastes of our cuisine, from savory pepperpot to sweet guava cheese, which truly brings everyone together.
I believe that our stories need to be told, especially as Guyana navigates its place in the world today. As we face challenges like corruption and poverty, it’s crucial to highlight the resilience and spirit of our people. Through my work, I hope to shine a light on both the struggles and the triumphs of our communities. After all, every time I return home, I’m reminded of the warmth and kindness of our people, as well as the strength that lies within our diversity.
