Hello! I’m Michael Williams, a proud resident of De Kinderen Housing, nestled along the beautiful Coast Demerara in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant community, I have always been inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, from the lush landscapes of our rivers like Pomeroon and the stunning sights of St. Monica, to the lively spirit of our people. Whether it's sharing a plate of pepperpot with family during the holidays or enjoying the rhythms of our local music, my roots run deep in this land.
As someone who is passionate about connecting with fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, I find joy in the stories we share. Many of us carry fond memories of our childhood, with sweet reminiscences of climbing cashew trees and swimming in the serene waters of Bat Creek. Each day, I strive to preserve this sense of community, ensuring that our traditions and pronunciations are celebrated and passed on, even to those who may feel a bit intimidated by them.
