Hello! I’m Carlton Williams, a proud Guyanese and dedicated jetman currently working at the River Kaibourie Canal Dredge in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, from the serene waters of the River Takatu Creek to the vibrant flora of Malaseema Kabakaburi, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our nation’s natural beauty and cultural richness. My work allows me to connect with the essence of our waterways, a lifeline for many communities.
As a proud member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry with me the flavors of home – from the spicy aroma of pepperpot to the sweet satisfaction of a good cassava pone. I find joy in sharing these culinary delights and stories with others, reminding us of our roots and the warmth of our people. Whether it’s a Sunday cook-up or a chat about life on River Ireland Island Akawini, these moments strengthen our bonds, no matter where we are in the world.
