Welcome! I’m Ronnel George, a proud Guyanese jetman working at the River Kaibourie Canal dredge in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty and rich diversity of Guyana, I've always felt a deep connection to our land. From the vibrant color of the guenepas (a must-try fruit!) to the bustling energy of our community, my experiences have shaped who I am today. Whether it’s sharing a plate of pepperpot or gathering with friends for a good ol’ lime, I cherish our unique traditions that bring us together.
As a second-generation Guyanese-American, I often encounter questions that make me chuckle—like the time someone asked if we even had a government! I find these moments humorous and reflective of the misconceptions that exist about our beautiful country. I'm passionate about bridging that gap and showcasing the true essence of Guyana, whether it's through storytelling or advocating for the recognition of our natural resources, like the oil that has sparked so much interest from our neighbors.
