Greetings! My name is Miguel Seepersaud, and I proudly call Essequibo my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my life revolves around the vibrant rhythms of our Guyanese culture. As a labourer, I embrace the spirit of hard work and community, whether it's helping at local farms or contributing to construction projects that bring our neighborhoods to life. The lush landscapes and the warmth of our people inspire me daily, reminding me of the beauty of our surroundings.
Family gatherings and celebrations play a significant role in my life, especially our traditional three-day weddings, where every day brings new joys and stories to share. From tasting the mouth-watering pepper pot and metemgee to dancing the night away with friends and family, these moments are precious to me. Living in Essequibo, I also cherish visits to the Pom River Hoobodie Settlement and River Para Island Wakapau, where the tranquility of nature and the rich history of our people come together.
Though I may reside in Guyana, I'm always connected to our diaspora community. I enjoy sharing stories with fellow Guyanese, whether it's discussing the unique nuances of our culture or reminiscing about our homeland's beauty. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
