Hello! I’m Milton Allen, a proud labourer from the vibrant town of Anna Regina, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up near the Pomeroon River, my childhood was filled with the sounds of the water and the warmth of the community. I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, like gathering with friends to enjoy a hearty meal of pepperpot or cook-up rice, reminiscing about the rich cultural heritage that shapes our identity.
When I’m not working, you can often find me exploring the lush landscapes of our region, from the captivating calabash island to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River. I feel a deep connection to my roots and the stories passed down through generations, celebrating both our Indigenous and African heritage. I believe that our culture thrives on the connections we maintain, whether it’s through sharing a plate of fried fish or exchanging stories with members of the diaspora who visit from far and wide.
