Growing up in Guyana, I have been surrounded by the beautiful blend of our diverse heritage, from the delicious taste of cook-up rice to the sweet aroma of pepperpot during the holidays. I cherish the bustling markets where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as the serene landscapes of the Essequibo River. I often reminisce about the camaraderie of my community, especially at local gatherings where laughter and storytelling reign supreme.
