Hello! My name is Niruddha Roopchand, and I'm proud to call Essequibo 29 Sideline Dam, located in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of our rivers and the vibrant culture of our people has shaped my character and values. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot on Christmas morning to the lively sounds of a tassa band during Diwali, my life is infused with the rich traditions and flavors that make our homeland special.
I cherish the strong connections within the Guyanese diaspora, where we share stories and memories that keep our culture alive, no matter where we find ourselves.
