Greetings from the beautiful Essequibo Coast! My name is Odessia Anderson, and I am proud to call Richmond Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of this unique region has shaped my identity. The rich flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to cook-up rice, and the rhythms of our cultural festivities, like Mashramani, bring joy and connection to our everyday lives.
Living in Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for the diverse stories of our people, from the bustling streets of Georgetown to the tranquil banks of the Pomeroon River. I often reflect on our shared heritage with the wider Caribbean and diaspora, where we find common ground in our struggles and triumphs.
