Hello! I’m Orville Henry, a passionate miner from the serene Lower Pom River Grant Enterprise in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush greenery meets the flowing waterways, and the rich cultural heritage is reflected in our daily lives. Growing up here, I've learned to appreciate the simple joys—a warm plate of dalh puri with curry, and the sound of the river nearby. And trust me, you haven’t truly experienced Guyanese cuisine until you’ve had a proper meal with friends and family!
As a proud Guyanese, I hold dear the traditions that have shaped our communities, from the festive celebrations that unite Indo and Afro-Guyanese to the stories of resilience and camaraderie that echo through the streets of our villages. Whether it’s sharing a laugh about the proper way to enjoy pepperpot or reminiscing about the stunning views from River Pear Landing, I’m always eager to connect with my fellow countrymen and the diaspora scattered across the globe. It’s important to keep our culture alive, and I believe that every conversation, every meal shared, strengthens our bond.
