Hello! I’m Orville Solomon, a proud miner hailing from the beautiful village of Karawab in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled amidst lush rainforests and winding rivers, my hometown is a place rich in culture and community spirit. Growing up here, I was immersed in the vibrant traditions of our diverse population, where Indo-Guyanese, Afro-Guyanese, Indigenous peoples, and many others come together to celebrate life. As I work in the mining industry, I find a deep connection between the land and the people. The rivers and fields tell stories of our heritage, and it’s my privilege to contribute to the livelihoods of my fellow Guyanese. Beyond my work, I cherish the moments spent in the backlands with friends, exchanging laughter and stories that connect us all.
