Hello! I’m Patricia Haynes, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo on Johnson Street in Parika, nestled in the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My heart is deeply connected to the vibrant culture and rich traditions of our land. From enjoying the fresh catch of the day—be it the famous Pomeroon fish curry or the delightful pepperpot—food plays a central role in our gatherings, bringing together families and friends to share stories and laughter. Living in Guyana, I have always felt a strong sense of community. We, as Guyanese, know the importance of unity, whether it’s through local festivities like Phagwah, where the colors of our diverse cultures shine bright, or through the everyday connections we forge in our neighborhoods.
