Hello! I’m Paulette Bethune, a dedicated teacher residing in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been influenced by our unique blend of cultures, from the delicious flavors of our local dishes like pepperpot and metemgee to the lively celebrations of Mashramani. I often share these aspects of our heritage with my students, encouraging them to embrace their roots while fostering an understanding of our global connections, especially within the diaspora communities in places like Little Guyana in Queens.
