About PRAMENAUTH PERSAUD

About Pramenauth Persaud

Greetings! My name is Pramenauth Persaud, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of Vriesland on the West Bank of Demerara. As a dedicated labourer, I understand the value of hard work and the importance of community ties. Growing up in Guyana, I have always cherished the rich tapestry of cultures that converge here, from the mouth-watering flavors of pepperpot to the rhythmic beats of our folk music, like the lively tassa drums that echo during our festivals. My roots run deep in this land, and I love sharing stories about our iconic landmarks, whether it’s the majestic Kaieteur Falls or the scenic banks of the Demerara River.

Having grown up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the warmth of our people, I have learned to appreciate the simple joys of lifeβ€”like enjoying a plate of cook-up rice with family or soaking in the breathtaking riverfront views at Akawini. I find immense pride in the vibrant spirit of the Guyanese diaspora, where we stay connected, exchanging experiences and supporting one another across borders. As many of us say, β€œGuyana πŸ‡¬πŸ‡Ύ MY COUNTRY πŸ—£οΈπŸ”₯πŸ”₯,” and I carry that pride with me wherever I go.

In these changing times, as Guyana emerges as a developing nation, I remain hopeful for the future while honoring our past. Join me in celebrating our unique identity and the rich heritage that makes Guyana special. Together, let’s share our stories and keep our culture alive, because whether near or far, the heart of Guyana beats in each of us!
