Hello! I’m Rachael Cox, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of this beautiful country has deeply influenced who I am. From the mouth-watering aroma of pepperpot during the holidays to the rhythmic beats of calypso and soca that resonate through our streets, every aspect of life here is a celebration. I cherish my connections with the diaspora community, who often share their love for home, whether it’s through heartfelt comments on social media or planning their next trip back to our beloved Guyana.
Living in Pomeroon, I am lucky to be close to some of our nation's hidden gems, like the serene waterways that tell stories of our indigenous heritage and the bustling markets where you can find the freshest ingredients for a delicious cook-up.
