Hello! My name is Rao Robinson, and I proudly hail from Bank Essequibo in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a labourer, I understand the value of hard work and community. Growing up here has given me a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, which is steeped in the rich traditions of our diverse population. Living close to the majestic Kaieteur Falls, or as we affectionately pronounce it, "kai-chore," I am constantly reminded of our natural wonders. The lush landscapes surrounding our communities serve not only as a backdrop for daily life but also as a reminder of the beauty we must cherish and protect. I often engage with friends and family over a plate of our famous cook-up rice or a fresh catch from the Pomeroon River. The warmth of our people and the flavors of our traditional dishes connect us, whether we are in Guyana or part of the diaspora abroad.
