Hello! My name is Ravindra Tulshie, and I proudly hail from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. As a labourer, I enjoy the hard work that connects me to the land and the community, embodying the spirit of resilience and determination that Guyanese people are known for. Living along the 20 Public Road, I am surrounded by the lush landscapes and warm smiles that make our corner of the world so special.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. Whether it’s indulging in the delightful flavors of cook-up rice, experiencing the annual Mashramani celebrations, or simply enjoying a chat with neighbors over a refreshing glass of mauby, each moment is a reminder of our strong community bonds. I often think about the diaspora and how many Guyanese, like myself, carry the warmth of our homeland, whether we are just down the road or across the ocean. It's a lifelong dream of many, including myself, to reconnect with relatives and explore the beauty of Guyana and Suriname one day.
