Greetings! I’m Reanna Shivlall, a proud resident of the beautiful Essequibo Coast, where the lush landscapes and vibrant culture make every day feel like a celebration. Nestled along 46 Public Road, New Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am deeply rooted in the community that reflects the rich heritage of Guyana. Here, we share stories, laughter, and of course, delicious meals that bring us together—be it a plate of pepperpot or a steaming bowl of cook-up rice that warms the soul.
Living in Guyana, especially on the Essequibo Coast, means immersing myself in the rhythms of our local life. Whether it’s taking a stroll along the Pomeroon River or partaking in community festivities, I cherish the connection we have with our land and traditions. I believe in the strength of our diaspora, as we proudly carry our culture wherever we go. Like many Guyanese, I have a strong passion for preserving our identity, which is why I resonate with those who value our unique heritage just as much as I do—no one would dare suggest changing the name of Lil Guyana, just as one wouldn’t dream of asking the Jamaicans to change theirs!
