Hello! I’m Rehana Lall, a proud resident of Regina Essequibo Coast, nestled along the scenic Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Essequibo, I’ve come to appreciate the tranquility of our rivers, like the beautiful Pomeroon River and the enchanting Asakabora Island. These natural wonders are a big part of my life, providing both a backdrop for cherished memories and a source of inspiration for my work as a clerk.
My heart beats for the vibrant culture of Guyana, from savoring a plate of spicy pepperpot to relishing a bowl of metemgee on a Sunday morning. I believe that food is one of the best ways to connect with our roots, especially when sharing traditional dishes with family and friends. The warmth of our community, whether it’s celebrating Mashramani or simply gathering at the local market, reflects the spirit of togetherness that defines us as Guyanese, no matter where we are in the world.
Having lived in the diaspora, I also cherish the connections we maintain with our homeland.
