Greetings from Pomeroon-Supenaam! I’m Rhonda Benn, a dedicated teacher with a passion for nurturing the minds of the next generation. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes of Guyana, my roots are deeply embedded in our vibrant culture, from the flavorful dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice to the soothing rhythms of our folk music. Living on 292 Main Street, I am fortunate to have the Essequibo River as my backdrop, serving as a constant reminder of the beauty and challenges of our homeland.
My journey has taken me far and wide, but my heart remains tethered to Guyana, a place that resonates with both struggle and resilience. While many of us in the diaspora share stories of corruption and disappointment regarding our leadership, we also cherish the warm memories of our communities and the spirit of togetherness.
