Greetings! I’m Rick George, a proud sailor hailing from the lush banks of the Pomeroon River in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the vibrant culture and rich traditions of my homeland, I've developed a deep love for the land, its people, and the waterways that connect us. Whether it's catching a boat ride to the bustling markets of Charity or savoring a plate of spicy cook-up rice with fresh fish, my roots are firmly planted in the heart of Guyana.
With a career that has taken me across the Caribbean and beyond, I often find myself reminiscing about the days spent at the shores of the Essequibo or rocking down to "Electric Avenue" with friends. The warmth and resilience of the Guyanese spirit—what we call “La Bonne Mère”—is always with me, guiding my adventures. I cherish the bonds formed with my fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, where we share stories and support one another across borders.
